What you can expect

Step into the world of Charles Dickens’ beloved classic with Cameron Mackintosh’s fully reconceived production of Lionel Bart’s “Oliver!” at the Gielgud Theatre. Directed and choreographed by Matthew Bourne, this spectacular revival brings new life to the timeless tale of Oliver Twist with a sensational cast and stunning stagecraft.

The cast features Simon Lipkin, Olivier Award-nominated for his role as the cunning Fagin, Shanay Holmes as the spirited Nancy, and Aaron Sidwell as the menacing Bill Sikes. Joining them are Billy Byers as the Artful Dodger and Philip Franks as Mr. Brownlow. Together, they deliver unforgettable performances that breathe life into Dickens’ characters. The show is designed by Lez Brotherston, with lighting by Paule Constable and Ben Jacobs, sound by Adam Fisher, and video design by George Reeve. The original orchestrations by William David Brohn have been adapted by Stephen Metcalfe, with music supervision by Graham Hurman.

Enjoy iconic songs like “Food, Glorious Food,” “Consider Yourself,” “You’ve Got to Pick-a-Pocket or Two,” “As Long As He Needs Me,” and many more. This Olivier, Tony, and Oscar-winning masterpiece vividly portrays the struggles and triumphs of Victorian London, exploring themes of poverty, hunger, and crime.
