Imagine setting off from the hills near Livorno on your mountain bike. The air is scented with the fragrance of Mediterranean maquis, the terrain is compact, and the view gradually opens up to the sea.

This tour passes through the Chioma River Valley, one of the most tranquil corners of the area. The trail runs smoothly through woodlands, along scenic dirt roads, and over hilly stretches. You don't need to be an expert: the route is easy and also suitable for those who simply want to enjoy the scenery at a leisurely pace.

With each turn of the pedals, the scenery changes.
From the green hills, you begin to see a blue strip on the horizon. Then the sea grows larger and larger until the route emerges onto one of the most spectacular stretches of coastline in Tuscany: the Romito Promenade.

Here, the road winds between steep cliffs overlooking the water, scenic curves, and breathtaking views of the Tyrrhenian Sea. This is the perfect time to stop, take a photo, or simply breathe in the salty sea breeze.
