Your day begins with a scenic 45-minute drive from Levi to the edge of the national park. From there, the ride starts gently as you pedal through sandy pine forests and winding forest trails. As the route progresses, the terrain becomes more varied — rocky sections, flowing paths, and rewarding climbs lead you higher towards the open fell plateau.
One of the highlights of the tour is reaching the open fell landscape, where the views stretch far across the Pallastunturi fells and the northern horizon. Around halfway through the route, we stop at the Pahakuru wilderness hut for a well-earned campfire break. Here, we enjoy proper trail food: hearty sandwiches and grilled sausages prepared over the open fire — a moment to rest, refuel, and soak in the peaceful wilderness atmosphere.
After the break, the ride continues through varied fell terrain towards the final part of the route. Near the end of the tour, there is an opportunity to take a refreshing swim in Hietajärvi, a beautiful sandy-bottom lake surrounded by pristine nature — the perfect way to cool off after an active day.
