What you can expect

  • Discover the Lasithi Plateau through local food, landscapes, and traditional life on a private day trip from Elounda.

    Your journey begins with pickup from your accommodation and a drive into the mountains, where the landscape gradually changes to open fields, windmills, and small villages.

    Stop at Krasi village to see the large plane tree and continue to the Monastery of Panagia Kera Kardiotissa, set in a quiet mountain location.

    Cross the Lasithi Plateau and take in views of cultivated land and traditional windmills that define the region.

    Continue to the Cave of Zeus (Dikteon Cave), an important archaeological and mythological site connected to Cretan history.

    The experience continues at a local venue near the plateau, where you will take part in a hands-on cooking experience using regional ingredients. Learn how traditional dishes are prepared and gain insight into local cooking methods.
