Arrive at Lalibela Airport, where your guide will welcome you. Transfer to your hotel for check-in and relaxation. Depending on your arrival time, take a short orientation walk around the town, exploring local markets and enjoying the scenic highland surroundings. Spend the night in Lalibela.

After breakfast on day 2, begin a guided tour of Lalibela’s Northern Group of Churches, including Bete Medhane Alem, Bete Maryam, and Bete Golgotha Mikael. Learn about the architectural genius and spiritual significance of these UNESCO World Heritage sites. Enjoy panoramic views of the town and surrounding mountains. Spend the night in Lalibela.

On day 3, explore the Southern Group of Churches, such as Bete Abba Libanos, Bete Gabriel-Rufael, and Bete Denagel. Experience traditional Ethiopian Orthodox rituals if available, and interact with local pilgrims. Capture unique photography opportunities amid centuries-old stone carvings. Spend the night in Lalibela.

Spend the day visiting nearby villages to experience daily life and traditional crafts on day 4. Meet local artisans, observe weaving and pottery-making, and enjoy a cultural lunch with a local family. Take an optional hike to Asheten Mariam or nearby viewpoints for stunning landscapes and photo opportunities. Spend the night in Lalibela.

After breakfast on day 5, enjoy a relaxed morning in Lalibela, perhaps revisiting your favourite churches or markets. Transfer to Lalibela Airport for your departure flight or onward journey, concluding your 5-day rock-hewn church exploration tour.
