Discover the world of extra virgin olive oil directly in its place of origin, among the morainic hills and Lake Garda. This experience at a family-run olive oil tourism farm combines panorama, culture and taste in a true “sensory game” that is also suitable for children.
During the guided visit, you will learn about the history and culture of the olive tree on Lake Garda and visit the olive grove, with a description of the landscape and natural context in which the farm is located, as well as the cultural points of interest nearby. You will then continue on to the farm's production facility and storage rooms to learn how quality oil is made and preserved.
The highlight is the food tasting: guided directly by the owner, you will smell and taste various products in the official tasting glasses, learning to recognise aromas, intensity and characteristics. You will taste 3 types of extra virgin olive oil: Garda DOP, Selezione Premium and Oro del Vajo, accompanied by bread with pâté, olives and infused condiments (such as chilli pepper, lemon, basil, rosemary and garlic). This experience is designed to explore the properties and uses of olive oil with a simple, engaging and hands-on approach.
Depending on the season, there may also be practical demonstrations: olive harvesting (October/November) or pruning (February–April). At the end of the tour, if you wish, you can purchase olive oil and local products, including a line of cosmetics made with Garda PDO olive oil.
