What you can expect

Kyoto Shodo (Calligraphy) Experience Learn the basics of Japanese calligraphy, create your own scroll work, and enjoy matcha with wagashi. Guests practising Japanese calligraphy in Kyoto Morning & afternoon sessions available. All materials provided. Overview Experience the elegance of Shodo in Kyoto. Learn proper posture, brush handling, and basic strokes from an instructor, then compose a meaningful character and mount it on a small hanging scroll (kakejiku). After the lesson, relax with matcha and a seasonal wagashi.
