Immerse yourself in Japanese tradition with a private cultural experience at a historic Kyoto temple designated as an Important Cultural Property.

Your private experience begins with shakyo (sutra copying), a centuries-old Buddhist practice that encourages calmness, reflection, and mindfulness. In a peaceful temple setting, surrounded by the gentle scent of incense and soothing sounds of nature, take your time to focus and experience the meditative flow at your own pace.

Afterwards, relax with freshly prepared matcha green tea accompanied by delicate seasonal wagashi (Japanese sweets). Enjoy these traditional flavours while overlooking a beautifully landscaped Japanese garden designed to inspire harmony and serenity.

With the personalised attention of your guide, learn about Kyoto’s history, Buddhist traditions, and the cultural significance of the temple. As a private experience exclusively for your group, you can enjoy a more relaxed pace, ask questions freely, and connect more deeply with Kyoto’s spiritual heritage.
