Day 1: Bako National Park Wildlife & Permai Rainforest (L)

You will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to Bako Jetty (40 minutes). From there, take a scenic boat ride to Bako National Park Headquarters, passing dramatic coastal rock formations along the way.

Explore Bako’s diverse ecosystem, home to proboscis monkeys, long-tailed macaques, silver leaf monkeys, and other wildlife such as bearded wild boar, flying squirrels, flying lemurs, otters, tarsiers, slow lorises, and numerous bird species. With an experienced guide, you may also spot the green pit viper. Enjoy the unique blend of rainforest, mangroves, and coastal scenery.

After the hike, return by boat to the jetty and transfer to Permai Rainforest Resort. Check in to your treehouse or jungle villa and spend the evening at leisure. Dinner is available at Tree Café (not included). An optional night walk is available at additional cost with advance arrangement.

Note: Last boat from Bako NP departs at 3:00 PM; arrival at Permai around 4:00 PM.

Day 2: Waterfalls & the “Jurassic of Sarawak” (B/L/D)

Breakfast is served between 7:00AM and 9:00AM. Enjoy free time to explore rainforest trails or relax at beach before checking out at 10:00 AM. There will be a long transfer (2 hours) to Bengoh jetty. Your boat will be waiting there to receive you and bring for the next adventure. Enjoy the 20-minute boat ride and a short uphill walk to your mountain homestay. Before the hiking adventure starts with our local guide, your lunch will be served. Then 45 minutes hike to scenic waterfalls and explore the ancient-looking rainforest landscapes known as the “Jurassic of Sarawak.” . After the hiking, now it is time to freshen up and rest at the homestay. Enjoy sunset views from the tanju (veranda) at 6:00 PM, followed by dinner at 7:30 PM and a peaceful night in the highlands.

Note: Optional Bamboo Rafting is available in the evening before sunset.

Day 3: Annah Rais Longhouse & Return (B/L)

Wake up early to enjoy sunrise momentum, followed by breakfast. Check out at 9:00AM and descend the mountain, then take a last short boat ride to the jetty. Transfer to Annah Rais Longhouse (approx. 30 minutes). Upon arrival, be welcomed with local rice wine also known as TUAK followed by a guided walk around the longhouse and village. Experience the longhouse culture and visit their Skull House, often described as the trophy showcase!

Then, there will be a traditional lunch served in the longhouse. After the lunch , head to Kuching, arriving in the afternoon.
