Merchant ship "Boka" sunk after hitting the coast of the Pelješac Peninsula due to a sudden storm on the 26th of October in 1981. The ship which was 106 metres long is now lying in the shallow - bow is at 5 metres and the stern is at 15 metres depth. Part of the ship above the draught level has been cut and towed away while the lower part is still lying intact at the sea bottom. Underwater parts of ship such as engine, propeller and cargo spaces are still preserved. Today, this shipwreck presents a home to numerous animal and plant species.
