heeyappara is a magnificent seven-tier waterfall with water descending from a height of 1000 feet. It is a unique experience to stand close to the water, near the bottom of the waterfalls and watch the cascading water. You can take a dip in the pool of water formed below or enjoy the spray of cool water. In the mornings, sometimes you can see a beautiful rainbow on the spray of water.

he nearby Valara Waterfalls complements Cheeyappara with its own lush greenery and is a lovely picnic location. Valara Falls lies amidst several other tiny cascades which are part of the chain of waterfalls in the Deviyar River originating from the Western Ghats. The view is spectacular in the monsoon and post-monsoon seasons when the falling cascade makes the air around it misty.

Thekkady to Alleppey would take 4 hrs hence suggest starting by 8 am to reach the houseboat by 12 – 1 pm. Houseboat will be stopped for lunch for 1hrs with the cruise till 5:30 pm. The boat will be anchored till the next day morning,with a 1-hour cruise in the morning for check out at 9 am.
