Start the tour by visiting the castle of saint George and see the old town and the ruins from ancient times.
Then we continue by driving to the Saint Gerasimos Monastery, where you will learn about the monastery's history and the miraculous healing powers of Saint Gerasimos. A visit to the Saint Gerasimos Monastery is considered one of the most sacred pilgrimages in Kefalonia. Saint Gerasimos is the patron saint of the island and is famous for his astonishing capability to cure people with mental illness. His relics are kept in the monastery.
Afterwards, we will visit the Vasilaki and Orealios Gaea Wineries. You will sample the red semi-sweet wine and robola wine and learn about the winemaking process.
We continue our journey by stopping at St Andrews monastery, where you can walk around the monastery and also visit the local laographic museum.
Next, we visit the Liocharis olive mill and learn about the process required to make olive oil. We then head to the tasting room for a tasting of different olive oil varieties, finishing by making our own riganada (bread, tomato, feta cheese, and the olive oil of our choice).
We return to Argostoli and finish our tour at our pick up point.
