A water route that combines movement, historical recount, and environmental observation, far from the most frequented routes.

The activity begins with a brief practical introduction dedicated to safety and basic paddling techniques. Even those who have never used a kayak before receive step-by-step instructions to navigate in a simple and controlled manner.

We start from the shore of the lake at Via Spiaggia del Lago. From here, we follow an itinerary designed to alternative natural stretches and points of historical interest that are visible only from the water.

During the journey, you can see:

the ancient submerged stilt houses of the so-called Village of the Mills

the harbour structures linked to the Roman villas that overlooked the lake

the outline of the papal summer residence, with historical notes on the ancient naumachia

natural areas accessible only by water, habitats of protected lake species

In the warmer months, there is a break in a small area that can only be reached by kayak, where you can relax and, if conditions permit, enjoy a swim.

The experience is shared, with groups of up to 50 people, and is at a leisurely pace. By the end of the tour, participants will have gained greater confidence in kayaking and a deeper understanding of the lake's history and ecosystem.
