Begin your journey with a morning departure from Kampot. After a scenic one-hour drive up the winding road of Preah Monivong Bokor National Park, explore the mysterious remains of the former French hill station. Visit historic landmarks such as the Bokor Catholic Church, the ruins of the old Bokor Palace Casino, and the former King’s residence, all perched dramatically above the Gulf of Thailand. Enjoy panoramic viewpoints across the coastline and experience the refreshing mountain climate.
After exploring the old town, enjoy lunch on Bokor and take time to see one of the mountain’s beautiful waterfalls surrounded by lush tropical forest.
In the afternoon, descend back towards Kampot to discover the rural landscapes that make the region famous. Visit the traditional Kampot Salt Fields, where local farmers harvest sea salt using centuries-old techniques. Continue to a fishing village to see daily life along Cambodia’s coast.
The tour then stops at a Kampot pepper plantation, where you can learn about the cultivation of the world-renowned Kampot pepper and sample the different varieties. Afterwards, visit the remarkable Phnom Chhngok Cave Temple, a hidden cave sanctuary containing a 7th-century brick temple from the Funan period. We'll also visit the peaceful Secret Lake, a scenic reservoir surrounded by countryside views.
Then in the evening, return to Kampot for a sunset boat cruise along Kampot river to see the sunset over Bokor Mountain as the fishermen leave in their longtail boats, and, fireflies line the shore.
