Depending on the tide, glide over crystal-clear waters in search of playful manatees and vibrant sea turtles, or comb the sandy shores for fascinating sea stars and conchs. During the winter months this area turns in to a "manatee highway" with manatees swimming through, migrating to warmer waters. The shallow sand bar areas are filled with luscious sea grasses for the manatees and sea turtles to feed on.
