After meeting your guide near the Quepos cemetery, you will follow them in your own vehicle to a private rainforest reserve hidden inside palm plantations. Upon arrival at the property, your certified naturalist guide will provide safety instructions and a quick orientation. As the sun sets, you will begin a guided walk through the forest using headlamps to spot nocturnal wildlife. The trail is flat and the walk lasts approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Along the way, your guide will help you identify frogs, insects, sleeping birds, reptiles, and other creatures that become active at night. You’ll learn about nocturnal behaviour, natural camouflage, and the importance of rainforest conservation. The experience ends back at the property, where you’ll return your boots and can ask final questions before driving out.
