The museum, which first opened in September 2001, is widely known in Korea. The entire building takes the shape of a green tea cup. At the O'sulloc Museum, not only can visitors enjoy unique o'sulloc teas, but they can relax next to the lotus pond in the indoor garden. These remarkable women were the backbone of Jeju’s local economy, supporting their families through deep-sea diving and farming. The Jeju Haenyeo Museum was established to re-evaluate and preserve this unique maritime culture. Through engaging exhibits, visitors can explore Jeju’s natural environment, fishing villages, traditional fisheries, and the resilient lives of the haenyeo, whose strength and dedication helped shape the island’s history.

Seongsan Ilchulbong

Seongsan Ilchulbong (Sunrise Peak) Seongsan Ilchulbong, or Sunrise Peak, is a volcanic tuff cone on the eastern coast of Jeju Island, formed about 5,000 years ago by a hydrovolcanic eruption. Rising 180 metres above sea level, it is part of the Jeju Volcanic Island and Lava Tubes UNESCO World Heritage Site. Famous for its breathtaking sunrise views, the peak features a large crater surrounded by sharp, crown-like rock formations. A well-maintained trail leads to the summit in about 20–30 minutes, offering panoramic views of the ocean and coastline. It stands as one of Jeju’s most iconic natural landmarks.
