What you can expect

  • Oleicola San Francisco is an olive oil producer dedicated to the elaboration of top quality extra virgin olive oil. Much like so many of the best producers, Oleicola San Francisco began as an artisanal company focused on local production. Nowadays, its premium olive oils are highly appreciated all around the world and awarded at prestigious international competitions.

During your visit you will learn all about the elaboration and production of this liquid golden juice, directly from the family workers themselves. Your tour will be concluded with a tasting of 3 different olive oils of the Gourmet range “Esencial Olive”

Oleícola San Francisco is located in Andalusia, in the heart of Jaén province, close to Baeza and Úbeda, 2 cities recognised as UNESCO World Heritage Cities. The olive mill is open to visitors every day, to get them immersed in the fascinating world of olive oil.

Find out how olive oil is made!

The tour begins with a tour through the outdoor and indoor installations with plenty of details to explain the olives’ reception process and the different steps for oil extraction. You will see the equipment used and methods of milling (current and antiquated), and learn the basics of the process, as well as some other considerations related to the milling process. Then, you will have the opportunity to see the cellar where the oil is stored and watch a video about the world of olive oil.

At the end of the tour, you can enter the tasting room in order to enjoy a tasting of our Gourmet Trio “Esencial Olive” extra virgin olive oils. You will be able to distinguish the oils’ sensorial aspects that will turn the tasting into a delightful experience to enjoy flavours and aromas.

After learning the secrets of oil elaboration and getting started in oil tasting, you will be ready to enjoy your gift: 2 samples of award-winning extra virgin olive oils.

Moreover, if you desire to come back home with Spanish food, you can visit the thematic store where you can purchase a lot of items related to the world of olive oil (olives, tapenades, beauty products or chocolates made from olive oil and more) and also local products such as wine.

Get an experience that will awaken your senses to all the joys that Spain, Andalusia and the wonderful olive oil world have to offer.
