  • The route crosses Abra Málaga at 4,350 m, descending into the cloud forest. The trail begins in Santa Teresa, 5:30 hours from Cusco, and ends in the town of Aguas Calientes.
    The experience is not as popular as the Inca Trail, which is overloaded with reservations, but many find it just as beautiful. This hike (sometimes also known as the Inca Jungle) is ideal for travellers looking for alternatives, taking them through rural communities and jungle adventures.
