You will receive a warm welcome and immediately immerse yourself in the laid-back atmosphere of authentic Ligurian cuisine. After a small snack and a glass of wine, the experience begins with a brief introduction to the typical ingredients of Liguria – the best olive oil, fresh basil, flour, and selected regional products.
The cooking class takes place in the heart of Imperia Porto Maurizio, lasts about 4–5 hours, and is deliberately designed to feel like a holiday within a holiday – no rush, no stress, just enjoyment and real Dolce Vita.
Step by step, you start with the focaccia: you knead the dough, learn the right resting time, and press the classic dimples with your fingers before it comes out of the oven, golden yellow and fragrant. You will then prepare pesto in a mortar, in the traditional way, and experience how the flavours and aromas unfold under your hands.
Then it's time for fresh pasta: you'll make the dough yourself, shape it, and learn simple, authentic techniques that you can also use at home. On request, the cooking class can be customised – tailored to your interests, your level, or for special occasions.
Finally, we sit down together at the table and enjoy the dishes we have prepared ourselves in peace and quiet. During the meal, I will tell you about Ligurian traditions, everyday life, and the real Ligurian way of life, accompanied by good Ligurian wine – an enjoyable moment of sharing, laughter, and the authentic Italian way of life.
