What you can expect

Experience day-to-day rural Zulu life in northern KwaZulu-Natal on a guided walking tour through a rural community near Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park.

With a trusted supply partner, Bushbaby Safaris Zululand has developed a walking tour through one of these communities which has its start point directly on the road to Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park from Hluhluwe.

Enjoy a tour that is done totally at random so that the community will never know when exactly a group may pass through. This is done so that you see and experience people going about their day-to-day lives as naturally as possible.

Visit the local primary school as well as the “Sangoma” purely to be sure there will be someone to receive you when you arrive. The other two stops at the community Shembe Temple and local “Spaza” shop are completely unannounced and the residents you encounter along the way have no idea anyone is visiting at any particular time.

NOTE : For guests in St Lucia we have an option that takes you Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park (with a picnic breakfast in the park) all the way through to Diza Travel - the start point of the main activity and back again afterwards. A double take on Hluhluwe-iMfolozi in on day!
