What you can expect

  • Begin your journey at the serene bamboo paths of Adashino, a tranquil alternative to Arashiyama where nature can be enjoyed in peace. Continue to Otagi Nenbutsu-ji Temple, famous for its hundreds of unique stone statues, each carved with different expressions and personalities.

Next, visit a secret observation deck overlooking Kyoto’s mountains and cityscape. Few tourists know about this location, making it the perfect place to pause and absorb Kyoto’s beauty.

Experience the iconic Golden Pavilion at Kinkaku-ji, one of Kyoto’s most celebrated landmarks. Arriving at carefully selected times helps reduce exposure to peak crowds.

Journey north into Kyoto’s sacred mountains where you’ll ride the Kurama Cable Car through lush forest scenery before exploring the spiritual grounds of Kurama-dera Temple.

The adventure concludes at the magical Kifune Shrine, hidden within a forest valley and famous for its red lanterns, flowing river, and centuries-old traditions.
