Sailing courses:
Get an introduction to sailing during one of our weekly training sessions for beginners. You will learn to steer a sailboat and adjust the sails. This is also a unique way to experience the Finnish archipelago.
No previous sailing experience needed. All sailing gear is included. Each session is different depending on the level of the participants and the wind conditions.
The posted itinerary is only for the sightseeing cruises. During the sailing courses the sights are more limited, but you get to experience the Finnish archipelago in an authentic way together with local sailors.
Sightseeing cruises:
Experience the unique Finnish archipelago and picturesque skyline of the city centre from the sea. Join a professional sailor on a racer-cruiser sailboat in active competition use on an unforgettable sailing cruise around the main sights of Helsinki, including Suomenlinna, Helsinki Cathedral, Allas Sea Pool, Uspenski Cathedral, Löyly, and more.
The boat is 10.5m long and can accommodate up to 10 guests on an evening cruise. The boat hosts a large cockpit, so it will not feel crowded, compared to older sailboats. During the cruise, you can either sit back and relax while taking in the views and enjoying a snack or drink, or you can actively participate in the sailing.
Try steering the boat and adjusting the sails under the guidance of a professional skipper. The sailing cruise takes approximately 3 hours and starts from the westernmost part of Helsinki and ends in the very heart of the city, on Valkosaari, home to the oldest and largest sailing club in Finland.
Valkosaari hosts some of the best views of city centre Helsinki, as well as a good restaurant and drinks terrace. From Valkosaari, take a short ferry ride, free of charge, to get to the mainland, close to Helsinki Market Square.
