09:15 – Get an introduction to KymViet’s storey – a social enterprise that creates meaningful jobs for people with disabilities, including deaf and non-speaking individuals, people with dwarfism, and those with physical handicaps. Through a short video and presentation, you’ll discover how they turn challenges into opportunities, and how your visit directly supports their mission.
Learn a few basic sign language phrases and practice connecting with the artisans in their own language – a simple but powerful way to break down barriers.
09:45 – Begin the Handicraft Workshop. Under the guidance of the artisans, you’ll learn how to stuff, stitch, and bring a soft toy to life. More than just making a souvenir, this is a moment to share joy, laughter, and connection with people who have overcome extraordinary obstacles. Don’t worry if you’re not crafty – they’ll assist to make sure your product turns out perfect.
This is not only a creative workshop, but also an act of kindness – by joining, you are helping sustain their livelihoods, empowering their independence, and giving them a voice in society.
10:15 – Refreshment break with light snacks and drinks.
10:30 – Finish your handicraft! If done early, take time to explore the production areas, browse handicrafts, or chat further with the artisans to learn more about their daily lives and dreams.

11:00 – After the workshop, enjoy a local Vietnamese dish for lunch and rest a bit.
12:30 – Travel to Ha Thai Lacquerware Village, famous for its centuries-old craft.
13:00 – Arrival and welcome at the village.
13:15 – Visit a family-run lacquerware workshop, where skilled artisans have passed down techniques for generations.
13:30 – Step into a local artisan’s home, learn about the meticulous process of creating lacquer art, and try painting your own piece.
14:00 – Express your creativity as you paint a unique lacquer product.
15:30 – Wrap up the workshop. You may keep your artwork at the studio or bring it home for an additional fee.
16:00 – Return journey to Hanoi.
