What you can expect

Option: Private Tour: Bronze casting at Ngu Xa Village and visit the 1,500-year-old Tran Quoc Pagoda

Begin your tour at Ngu Xa Village, located on a small peninsula in Truc Bach Lake. Learn about the village's 500-year-old tradition of bronze casting, a craft passed down through generations. Discover the intricate process of monolithic-casting, which can take months to complete.

Next, make your way to Tran Quoc Pagoda, the oldest pagoda in Hanoi. Built in 541, this iconic symbol of Hanoi was originally named Khai Quoc Pagoda. Learn how it was relocated in 1615 due to a dyke collapse and renamed Tran Quoc during the reign of King Le Hy Tong.

Admire the pagoda's 3,000-square-meter design, a harmonious blend of traditional elements, characterised by intricate woodwork, gracefully curved roofs, and delicate ornamentation. Each detail is a testament to the reverence for nature and the pursuit of spiritual balance that Buddhism embodies.

Start with a pickup from Hanoi’s Old Quarter and head to Chuong, a village that has been well-known for the craft of conical hat-making for over 300 years. Get an observe how conical hats are made and decorate a hat by painting it then bring it home as a souvenir.

Depart for the Quang Phu Cau village, which has been producing incense for more than 100 years. Take a walk to the centre of the village and see how locals make incense on the artisanal, family scale. Meet a family who specialises in dyeing incense sticks and take in the colourful bundles of incense.

Back to the city centre. First place for drop off: Hanoi Train Street. If you don't want to get drop off here, please wait in the car.
