This experience takes place at Shizuhamo (Seasonal Harmony), a historic Kyo-machiya dedicated to preserving the culture of tea ceremony and ikebana. The entire machiya is reserved exclusively for your group for two hours, allowing you to enjoy the space at your own pace. You are welcome to choose and wear a traditional haori jacket, explore the tea rooms, and see and handle a variety of traditional tea utensils. The machiya also features authentic Japanese-style rooms and a beautiful Japanese garden, creating a peaceful setting for photography, conversation, and cultural activities. Lunch or dinner catering featuring traditional Kyoto cuisine can also be arranged. Enjoy a private meal in the atmospheric Japanese rooms while taking in views of the garden.
