08:00 : Meet at Future cafe
We start this tour at Pakklong Talaad, Bangkok’s biggest wholesale flower market that is an important trading hub which is open 24-hours a day. Next we hop on a traditional boat to the former Bangkok capital of Thonburi which is situated just across the Chao Phraya River. This neighbourhood is home to many klongs that acquired Bangkok the title ‘Venice of the East’. Here we glide through ancient canals in wooden boats to soak up scenic life along waterways. On the way we stop at the National Museum of Royal Barges which is home to spectacular vessels used in state processions and also visit the magnificent Wat Arun, also known as the Temple of Dawn, which is adorned with lots of mosaic brightly coloured pieces can only be appreciated up close.
