Depart from Brussels and travel through the Belgian countryside to the Ardennes, where nature, tradition, and brewing culture come together. Visit the world of La Chouffe in Achouffe, enjoy Belgian flavours on board, and explore the peaceful surroundings of Orval Abbey with a local guide.
In Achouffe, discover the storey behind La Chouffe, famous for its friendly gnome, distinctive character, and accessible Belgian speciality beers. During your visit, learn more about the brewery, its history, and brewing traditions before enjoying a tasting of La Chouffe beers.
On the way to Orval, relax on board the coach while enjoying a generous Belgian cheese and charcuterie platter. Belgian beers and other drinks are available during the journey.
In the afternoon, visit the impressive Orval Abbey, one of Belgium’s most remarkable Trappist abbey sites. A local guide will introduce you to the history, spirituality, and traditions of this unique place. Although the brewery itself is not open to visitors, you will afterwards have the chance to taste the exclusive “Green Orval” at L’Ange Gardien, the only place where this young and fresh version of Orval is served on draft.
After a day full of discoveries, return comfortably to Brussels. During the journey back, you can continue the experience with a Belgian beer or another drink. An optional hot dinner can be booked during the return trip.
