Departure and Route
The journey begins at 9:00 a.m. at the Mobilitas e-bike rental shop in Pragelato (Viale IV Novembre, 11). After a short briefing, you'll warm up by cycling downhill to the picturesque hamlet of Pourières. From here, the real climb begins: a steady, scenic ascent that leads to the high-altitude pastures of Pian dell'Alpe.
Once you reach the ridge, you will take the famous Strada dell'Assietta (Assietta Road), which winds between Colle dell'Assietta and Testa dell'Assietta (2,566 m / 8,422 ft). The route passes by historic fortifications and monuments, offering a commanding view of the Chisone and Susa valleys.

Stops and Refreshments
Along the way, the go-to spot for a refreshing break is the Casa Assietta mountain hut, where you can enjoy traditional Alpine cuisine at an altitude of over 6,562 feet (2,000 metres), surrounded by a silence broken only by the wind.
