Great Ocean Road Memorial Archway

The arch was built in honour of the 3,000 returned soldiers who worked on the road and its creation during World War I. They started construction on the Great Ocean Road in 1919 and completed the 243 kilometres stretch of road in 1932.
Lorne

Our morning tea stop is in the boutique village on the Erskine River, multiple choice of cafe's, bakeries or simply walk along the bay. Lorne is also renowned for its large colonies of Cockatoo's ( large parrot )
Great Ocean Road (Pass by)
As we leave Lorne we continue along the cliff face and escarpment's of the Great Ocean Road, pausing at the best available photo opportunities.

Descending into Apollo Bay for our lunch stop with it's 3km long beach front gives you the opportunity to explore this fishing village your way, maybe lunch at the local hotel, try local seafood in the many cafe's or bring your own lunch & enjoy on the beach.
Great Otway National Park (Pass by)
Mountain Ash & Californian Red Wood forests littered with ferns are complimented with sea vista's of the Southern Ocean as we meander our way to the Ship Wreck Coast.

Maybe consider descending to this amazing beach. Be dwarfed by the 70-meter high vertical cliffs and marvel at Gog and Magog, the nicknames given to the giant limestone stacks rising up out of the sea. ( This is optional for those who don't desire the step walk )
