Get away from the crowds and up close to the wildlife at our Bait Reef mooring, the closest of the outer reef locations. Our dedicated snorkel guides will provide assistance with equipment and techniques, as well as join you in the water on safety boards.

Please note you must be confident in the water and be able to swim to participate.

The reef is accessed by our premium custom designed dive/snorkel vessel, which has two levels of air-conditioned luxury, lounge style seating and a partially shaded deck. There is a full beam swim platform which makes entering and exiting the water a comfortable experience.

  • As you need to enter the water to enjoy the reef, this cruise is not suitable for those that cannot swim. No refund will be applicable if the snorkel guides deem you unsafe to enter the water due to your swimming ability.

Departing from Shute Harbour in Airlie Beach, this unforgettable snorkelling experience takes you to the world-renowned Great Barrier Reef, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Travel along a scenic route through the stunning Whitsundays, via Hamilton Island, before arriving at Bait Reef where you’ll spend approximately 3.5 hours exploring two different snorkelling locations. Immerse yourself in the vibrant underwater world, filled with diverse coral formations and marine life. Throughout the day, enjoy a healthy buffet-style lunch along with morning and afternoon tea to keep you refreshed. High-quality snorkelling equipment is provided, including wetsuits or stinger suits and flotation jackets if needed.
