Departing from Bariloche in the morning, we travel north along National Route 40, following the shores of Lake Nahuel Huapi and crossing into the province of Neuquén. Our first stop is Villa La Angostura, a charming mountain village surrounded by forests and lakes. From there, we continue along the famous Seven Lakes Route, one of Patagonia’s most scenic drives. The journey takes us through Nahuel Huapi and Lanín National Parks, where we admire the beautiful lakes Espejo, Correntoso, Escondido, Villarino, Falkner, Machónico, and Lácar, all surrounded by stunning mountain landscapes and native forests. We arrive in San Martín de los Andes, located on the shores of Lake Lácar, where you will have free time to enjoy lunch, explore the town centre, or walk along the lakeside promenade. Afterwards, we begin our return to Bariloche, enjoying more of the spectacular scenery that makes this region one of the highlights of Argentine Patagonia.
