Begin your journey at Zurich Main Station (HB). Please note that this initial train ride is self-guided; you will travel independently without a guide to the meeting point. Board a comfortable, punctual Swiss train and relax as the scenic landscape transforms into dramatic valleys and, eventually, the breathtaking shores of Lake Walensee. Arrive directly at Unterterzen, a picturesque lakeside village that serves as your basecamp for the day. As soon as you step off the train in Unterterzen, your professional guide will be waiting to welcome you and lead you through the exciting Flumserberg mountain adventure.
From Unterterzen, step straight onto a modern cable car alongside your guide, gliding effortlessly over the lake and soaring up to Tannenboden in the Flumserberg alpine region. Once at the top, breathe in the crisp, pure mountain air and take in the panoramic views as your guide leads you to the main event: the famous Floomzer Alpine Coaster.
Buckle up for a thrilling 2-kilometer descent. Fly through twists, turns, and bridges at speeds of up to 40 km/h, all while surrounded by spectacular alpine scenery. Control your own speed, making it perfect for both daredevils and scenic cruisers.
After your mountain rush, take the cable car back down to the lake level at Unterterzen. Grab a paddle, hop into a high-quality kayak, and head out onto the pristine, mirrored waters of Lake Walensee. As you glide across the lake, look up to marvel at the towering, jagged cliffs of the Churfirsten mountain range rising dramatically from the water’s edge.
In the afternoon, trade your paddle for a seat on a scenic local ferry. Cruise across the lake to Quinten, a hidden gem of a village tucked away beneath vertical rock faces. Because it is completely free of cars and only accessible by boat or on foot, Quinten feels like a portal to another world.
Thanks to its unique, sheltered location, the village enjoys an almost Mediterranean microclimate where figs, kiwis, and grapes thrive. Enjoy a leisurely stroll through its charming paths, admire the local vineyards, and perhaps relax at a lakeside café.
As the sun begins to dip behind the peaks, take the ferry back to Unterterzen. Bid farewell to your guide and board your return train independently back to Chur, giving you the perfect opportunity to kick back, relax, and swipe through the incredible photos of your unforgettable Swiss adventure.
