After a hearty breakfast, commence your journey to the picturesque Chimgan Village, located approximately 85 km from Tashkent. Upon arrival at the Fanat Sanatorium in Chimgan Village, embark on an exhilarating hike to Small Chimgan Peak, standing majestically at 2,099 metres.
Begin your adventure at an elevation of 1,578 metres, leading you on an ascent of around 520 metres. As you hike, be captivated by the stunning beauty of Chimgan Village and the surrounding valley, along with breathtaking views of the towering Greater Chimgan Peak (3,309 metres).
Upon reaching the saddle, find yourself amidst a serene landscape dotted with ancient juniper trees, showcasing the vibrant wildlife that inhabits the Chimgan mountains. The trail then leads you to the more challenging segment, characterised by steep slopes that heighten the thrill of your ascent.
When you finally reach the summit, prepare to be awestruck by the panoramic vistas that unfold before you. From this vantage point, admire the shimmering Charvak Lake, the majestic mountains of Kyrgyzstan, and the enchanting Karjantau mountains.
Take a moment to enjoy a delightful picnic lunch at the peak, capturing the moment with photos beside the iconic sign reading, “Small Chimgan Height 2,099 m” in Russian. After some rest, begin your descent, taking a quite different route but to the starting point that allows you to explore the lush forests on the eastern side of the mountain.
This path is less steep, providing a leisurely return journey to the saddle. After arrival to the starting point, finish the tour and return to Tashkent.
