Embark on a journey through Mostar's abandoned and lost places, ruins, and mysteries. This relaxed and fun tour is heavily focused on photography, offering a unique perspective on the region's history and natural beauty, but also some dark aspects of the struggling post-war society and the population decline.
Begin in Jablanica, where you’ll see the bridge destroyed during the Neretva battle in 1943. Then, head to Fortica see the Mostar from a mountain viewpoint and the Austro-Hungarian ruins.
Next, visit the city centre to see the Sniper Tower, one of the most intriguing abandoned structures. Finally, admire the Old Bridge, destroyed during the Bosnian war and reconstructed in 2004.
On the way back to Sarajevo, stop in the small town of Konjic to hear the storey of the Vardak Mosque, still missing its minaret destroyed during the Bosnian war.
