In the afternoon, you’ll visit the still-growing active volcano—“Showa Shinzan”. This mountain rose from flat ground during volcanic activity in the 1940s, and its unique lava dome formation remains visible today. At the foot of the mountain lies the “Showa Shinzan Bear Ranch”, a perfect window into understanding the “masters” of Hokkaido.
