Begin your journey with a visit to Lefkara, one of the most beautiful and traditional villages on the island, famous for its lace embroidery and filigree silver. Legend has it that Leonardo da Vinci himself visited the village in 1481 and bought a lace altar cloth, which he donated to the Milan Cathedral.
Explore the narrow winding streets and traditional terracotta-roofed houses. Visit the Folklore Museum, the old fountain, and the old olive mill. The village also has beautiful ancient chapels, including the Holy Cross and Archangel Michael with frescoes that date back to the 12th and 15th centuries.
Next, head to the Golden Donkeys Farm in Skarinou village. The farm includes a traditional Cypriot house, poultry, goats, and a shop with donkey milk and olive oil products. Enjoy an optional donkey ride in the beautiful surroundings of the farm.
Finally, visit the Camel Park in Mazotos village. The park has a wide variety of animals. The park also includes a swimming pool, restaurant, kids’ area, bumper cars, mini train ride, swings, mirror room, and coin-operated rides. You also have the chance to ride the camels and have lunch (optional extras).
