What you can expect

  • Begin your adventure with a pickup from your hotel or Komodo Airport in Labuan Bajo. Drive through scenic landscapes, starting with a visit to Melo Village for panoramic views, then continue to Lembor’s vast rice terraces.

    Stop for lunch at a local restaurant in Dintor before heading to Denge Village, the starting point of your trek. Hike approximately 9 km (around 2.5 hours) through dense tropical forest to reach Wae Rebo Village, located 1,200 metres above sea level.

    Upon arrival, be warmly welcomed by the villagers and introduced to the local Manggarai way of life. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in a traditional Mbaru Niang house.

    Wake up early to witness the stunning sunrise over Wae Rebo Village. Enjoy breakfast while observing villagers’ morning routines, including drying coffee beans and preparing for the day. Descend for about 2 hours back to Denge Village, stop for lunch in Dintor, then drive back to Labuan Bajo (approx. 3.5 hours). Arrive at your hotel in the afternoon, marking the end of your unforgettable journey.
