    Choose your safari option based on your nationality or residency category, with park entry fees and Lake Ihema boat safari included. Please select the correct category when booking, as fees vary depending on visitor status.

    Akagera is home to the Big Five, including lions, elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, and leopards, as well as giraffes, zebras, hippos, crocodiles, and a wide variety of bird species. Early morning game drives offer the best opportunities to spot wildlife as the park comes alive.

    Vehicles are selected based on group size. SUVs are used for small groups of 1–3 guests, while larger groups of 4–15 guests travel in a pop-up roof safari vehicle designed for excellent wildlife viewing.

    Throughout the journey, your experienced driver guide will share insights about Akagera’s wildlife, landscapes, and conservation efforts, creating an exciting and meaningful safari experience.
