What you can expect

Our driver will pick you up from your Cruise Ship at the Kavala Port to start this dream tour, that starts with a short drive through the scenic countryside of Northern Greece, passing fertile plains and picturesque villages.

Arrive at the Lydia Baptismal Site, a serene location by the Zygaktis River, where Lydia the first Christian to convert in Europe, was baptized here by the Apostle Paul.
Visit the modern Lydia Chapel, adorned with stunning mosaics depicting biblical scenes and take your time to reflect, take photos, or participate in a short moment of prayer.

Continue to the nearby ancient city of Philippi, founded by King Philip II, father of Alexander the Great, in 356 BC.

Explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site with a certified guide and visit the important parts of this well-preserved ancient city, such as the Forum and Agora: The social, political, and commercial hub of the ancient city. You can see the shift to Christianity with the early Christian churches, such as Basilicas A and B. The Prison of Paul and Silas: Believed to be the place where Paul and Silas were imprisoned before the earthquake described in the Bible (Acts 16). Philippi is the ideal location for visitors to discover the fascinating layers of history, from Greek and Roman to Christian heritage.

Your visit to Northern Greece would not be complete without a visit to one of most distinguished wineries of the area for a tour on site by expert guides and a wine tasting of the winery’s most iconic wines. Macedonia is a hidden gem for wine enthusiasts, boasting a rich winemaking tradition that dates back to antiquity. The region is home to some of Greece's most renowned wine appellations, offering unique terroirs, indigenous grape varieties, and award-winning wines.

You will then be returned to your Cruise Ship for embarkation!
