Explore the highlights of the canyon, including its lagoons, and enjoy the beauty of this “lost” attraction. . It is about 400 metres deep and its imposing beauty is compared to the “Grand Canyon Colorado”. Inside the canyon we can see an impressive geological formation.
ITINERARY :
The Canyon of the Lost tour begins with the pick-up of our travellers or hotel in Ica or bus station, then we will transport ourselves to the South of Ica, during the journey, our driver will make a stop on the outskirts of Ica, before entering the desert. This in order to purchase drinks and some food for the excursion.
• We will travel along the Panamericana Sur, and then take the detour that will take us to the OCUCAJE Desert, a place that also houses a large number of marine fossils many millions of years old, as we enter the desert along a dirt road, but in good condition, little by little we are observing the diversity of hills with different layers of colours, continuing with the tour for 2 hours we will be reaching the crack that was formed by the river bed and the capricious shapes that the erosion of the wind.
• We will arrive at the Los Perdidos Canyon Viewpoint; where you will see the large crack that shows its extension and depth, which in turn serves as protection for the scavenger birds that are the guardians of this area.
• We will begin our walk along a sandy path where you can also see some fossils and saltpeter deposits that lead us to the waterholes of this great canyon 150 metres deep and 1.5km long. During the walk we will live an unforgettable adventure.
• We will leave the Canyon and move to the City of Ica.
• We will make a brief stop at a winery selling Piscos and artisanal wines, to offer a tasting to our clients. They will then have a few free minutes to make purchases voluntarily. Then we will continue our route to the City of Ica.
Finally, passengers will be dropped off in the comfort of their hotel or bus station in Ica.
