What you can expect

Depart from Hanoi early in the morning and begin your journey to the peaceful mountains of Northwest Vietnam. Travel by private vehicle, passing through breathtaking landscapes, including rolling green hills, sprawling rice terraces, and small villages nestled among the mountains.

Arrive in Sapa around midday and stop at a local restaurant to enjoy a traditional lunch. Refuel for the upcoming adventures with Northwest specialities such as mountain trout, local pork, fresh vegetables, and herbal dishes, all prepared with fresh ingredients and authentic flavours.

In the afternoon, continue your adventure at the Rồng Mường Glass Bridge, one of Sapa’s most iconic attractions. Walk on the transparent bridge suspended high above the valley and take in the breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and forests.

Next, visit Ham Rong Mountain, another must-see destination in Sapa. Stroll along forested trails, admire vibrant flower gardens filled with roses, chrysanthemums, and wildflowers, and marvel at the natural rock formations with unique shapes. From the top, enjoy sweeping views of Sapa town nestled in the valley below.

After the afternoon exploration, check in at your hotel and have some time to rest before dinner. The evening meal offers a chance to savour traditional dishes, including hotpot, mountain specialities like smoked buffalo, and grilled river fish.

In the evening, visit Sapa Night Market, a cultural highlight of the region. Explore a variety of street foods, from grilled skewers and sticky rice cakes to sweet soups and local drinks. The night market is also perfect for shopping handcrafted items such as scarves, hats, and embroidered bags made by ethnic minority groups, ideal for souvenirs or gifts.

After exploring the market, return to your hotel for a restful night, preparing for the next day’s adventure to the highest peak in Indochina.

On the second day, after breakfast at the hotel and checking out, travel to the Fansipan cable car station. Take the scenic cable car and monorail ride to the summit of Fansipan – the Roof of Indochina (3,143 metres). Along the way, enjoy stunning views of the Hoang Lien Son mountain range, deep valleys, and small villages tucked into the mountains.

At the summit, explore the temple complex, which emerges among the clouds and provides a serene and spiritual atmosphere. It is an ideal spot for taking panoramic photos and enjoying the breathtaking scenery from above. Walk around the area, visit the Buddha statues, ceremonial gates, bell towers, and stone stairways leading to different viewpoints, creating a rich experience of both exploration and reflection. After the visit, return to Sapa town for lunch, enjoy the flavours of the Northwest mountains before boarding the vehicle back to Hanoi.

Arrive in Hanoi, concluding a two-day journey filled with awe-inspiring natural beauty, rich local culture, and unforgettable memories in Northwest Vietnam.
