What you can expect

Explore Scotland with a Italian-speaking guide on this immersive journey through its stunning landscapes and rich history. This tour has two itineraries depending on your travel dates.

Itinerary until December 14, 2025:

We begin at 190 High Street, Edinburgh, heading towards Dunnottar Castle, a historic site perched on cliffs overlooking the North Sea. Along the way, we cross the Forth River, passing the picturesque fishing villages of North Queensferry and South Queensferry.

Our first stop is Dundee, Scotland’s capital of design and technology. We’ll stop by the Tay River to take in panoramic views of the Tay Bridge and the RRS Discovery, the ship used by Captain Robert Falcon Scott in his Antarctic expedition.

We will visit Dunnottar Castle, a key location during the Wars of Independence in the 13th and 14th centuries. This dramatic fortress inspired many artists and filmmakers.
Note: In case of adverse weather preventing access, we will offer a photo stop at a panoramic viewpoint and visit Stonehaven.

Enjoy a break in Stonehaven, a charming seaside village with a lively harbour and colourful houses, before lunch and continuing our journey.

Next, we visit Glamis Castle, famous for its connection to Macbeth and the Queen Mother. Explore this Victorian Gothic masterpiece, with its remarkable architecture and gardens.

On the way back to Edinburgh, we pass through Silicon Glen, Scotland’s tech valley. Your guide will provide suggestions for further exploration of Edinburgh.

Winter Itinerary (from December 15, 2025 to March 22, 2026):

Starting from 190 High Street, Edinburgh, we head east through the Fife region and along the North Sea coast, enjoying the scenic landscapes of the Scottish countryside.

Our first stop is the Three Bridges Viewpoint, offering panoramic views of the iconic Forth Bridge, the Forth Road Bridge, and the modern Queensferry Crossing. Capture stunning photos of these engineering marvels and the charming villages of North and South Queensferry.

Next, we visit Aberdour Castle, one of Scotland’s oldest fortresses. Dating back to the 12th century, its medieval and Renaissance structures provide a unique glimpse into the lives of the Scottish nobility and the castle's strategic historical importance.

We then reach the breathtaking Dunnottar Castle, perched on a cliff overlooking the North Sea. A key setting during the Wars of Independence, this fortress is a must-see for its history and natural beauty.
Note: Entrance is not included. In case of adverse weather, we will visit a panoramic viewpoint for photos.

Following the castle, we enjoy a break in Stonehaven. Its picturesque harbour and local cafes offer the perfect setting for lunch and a seaside stroll.

Our final stop is Dundee, a vibrant cultural hub. We will admire the architectural wonder of the V&A Dundee and learn about the city’s maritime legacy, including the famous HMS Discovery.

After a day of history and stunning landscapes, we return to Edinburgh.
