DAY 01.
Begin your adventure at the modern Magufuli SGR Station in Dar es Salaam, where you will board the high-speed train for a scenic morning ride to Morogoro. Upon arrival, meet your professional guide and enjoy a comfortable road transfer to the outskirts of Mikumi.

Dedicate the afternoon to an immersive cultural visit at a traditional Maasai boma. Engage with the local community, witness their famous rhythmic dances, learn about their ancient customs, and gain insight into their daily pastoralist lifestyle before settling into your nearby lodge for a quiet evening and overnight .

DAY 02
Start with early breakfast to maximise your time for a full-day game drive across the Mkata Floodplain. As you traverse the “Little Serengeti,” keep a keen eye out for the “Big Four”—lions, elephants, buffaloes, and the elusive leopard—alongside giraffes, zebras, and herds of eland.

Take a mid-day break for a picnic or hot lunch at a designated site within the park, allowing you to refuel while surrounded by nature. Following the conclusion of your game drive in the late afternoon, begin the return journey towards Morogoro.

Your guide will ensure a timely transfer back to the Morogoro SGR station to catch the evening train. This leg of the trip provides a final opportunity to relax and reflect on the wildlife encounters of the day while enjoying the efficiency of the Standard Gauge Railway. The train offers a smooth transit through the changing landscape, bringing you back to the bustle of the city by nightfall.
