Pillcopata

Early departure from Cusco and journey through the Andes and picturesque rural communities. Visit pre-Inca tombs and stop in Paucartambo before continuing into the cloud forest. Along the way, enjoy lunch and keep an eye out for orchids, bromeliads, birds and other wildlife. Continue to Pilcopata Inn for your overnight stay.

Day 2: Pilcopata to Amazon Manu Lodge

After an early breakfast, take a short jungle walk to look for monkeys and birds, followed by visits to a coca plantation and a wildlife rescue centre. Continue to Port Atalaya and board a boat along the Alto Madre de Dios River towards Amazon Manu Lodge. In the afternoon, explore a nearby swamp, and after dark take a caiman-spotting excursion.
