What you can expect

  • Begin your shore excursion with a pickup from the cruise shuttle bus terminal in Civitavecchia (Largo della Pace). Travel with a qualified driver who is an expert in Rome's traffic, making multiple stops before returning to Civitavecchia.

    Before heading back to the ship, enjoy a super-exclusive activity: a tasting of local and regional products (cheeses, cured meats, etc.) at a traditional shop in Civitavecchia. After the aperitivo, return to the ship with a 100% guaranteed on-time arrival.

    The departure for shared activities is always scheduled for 9:15 AM, with a 15-minute grace period.

    *The stops of our shore excursion are as follows: the historic and archaeological area of the Colosseum and Roman Forums; Central Rome (located very close to the Trevi Fountain, Piazza del Popolo, Piazza di Spagna, and the Pantheon); Vatican City; and a stop at a local shop in for the food tasting before returning to your cruise ship.

    **This service does not include a tour guide. The driver is the only escort, and will drop clients off at strategic points very close to the main monuments. A tour guide service can be purchased separately by arranging it in advance.

    ***The tasting and aperitivo options are varied and customisable! You will be able to taste local products, gelato, pasta, and various other treats… simply choose the culinary experience you prefer with your driver. A 1:00 PM brunch, afternoon gelato, or an aperitivo before heading back to the ship? You'll have complete freedom to decide, and our drivers will recommend the best options based on your needs.
