Begin your adventure with a pickup from Bishkek and travel to the Tuyuk Gorge. Start your hike at a small hut, 1,600 metres above sea level. Cross a river by fording it or crossing an old fallen tree, as the bridge was washed away by a mudflow.

After 5.5 kilometres, reach a beautiful waterfall. The trail runs above the river, and the mountain slopes are surrounded by tall, dark green spruce trees, thickets of rose hips, barberries, and raspberries.

The trail alternates between ascents and descents constantly. The waterfall offers a pleasant rest. But if you're in good physical condition, you can head to the beautiful mountain lake Kok-Moinok. The lake is located at an altitude of 2,700 metres above sea level.

Lake Kok-Moinok is located at the foot of Sugar Loaf Peak. The reflections of the mighty peaks are visible in the crystal-clear water. The lake is surrounded by syrts, giving it a truly unique appearance. Along the way to the lake, you can encounter blooming meadows covered in yellow buttercups and jasmine flowers.

The journey from Bishkek to the Tuyuk Gorge, where our hiking route begins, takes two hours each way.

This means we'll spend about seven hours of active trekking, two hours of rest, and four hours driving.
