Begin your adventure with pickup from your hotel in Bali and head to the ferry terminal. Cross the Bali Strait by ferry and continue your journey to the Ijen Crater in Java.
Meet your local guide and receive your safety equipment, including a gas mask and torch. Set off on a trek to the Ijen Crater, passing through a lush forest and taking in the stunning views of the surrounding landscape.
Arrive at the Ijen Crater and marvel at the blue fire and the turquoise lake. Take in the views of the sunrise from the top of the crater. After the trek, enjoy a light breakfast before heading back to Bali.
Important Information Before Hiking Mount Ijen
Before your hike to Mount Ijen, please be informed that all hikers are required to present a medical certificate from a doctor, confirming that you are in good health and fit for hiking. This is a mandatory safety requirement set by the Mount Ijen authorities.
Medical Certificate Requirements:
- Issued by an official healthcare provider (clinic, public health centre, hospital, or licensed doctor).
- States that you are in good health and physically fit for hiking activities.
- Should be issued within 1 day prior to the hike (preferably recent).
We highly recommend that you prepare this certificate before your hike. If you haven’t obtained one yet, we can help arrange a visit to the nearest clinic for a quick medical check-up.
There are two options for obtaining a doctor's certificate: you can either arrange one at a clinic near your hotel or have our team prepare it for you at a cost of €8 per person.”
