Discover western Georgia on a full-day journey from Tbilisi to Kutaisi — a city known for its ancient landmarks and vibrant charm. After a scenic drive through the Georgian countryside, we arrive in Kutaisi, one of the oldest cities in Europe.
Your first stop is Bagrati Cathedral, a stunning 11th-century monument that offers panoramic views over the city. Next, we visit the Gelati Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and masterpiece of medieval Georgian architecture.
From there, you’ll have the option to explore the Prometheus Cave, an underground wonder filled with impressive stalactites, stalagmites, and even a short boat ride (if water levels allow).
At midday, enjoy a special homemade lunch with a local family in a nearby village. This is a rare opportunity to taste authentic Georgian dishes, learn about village life, and experience the warmth of local hospitality in a relaxed, family setting.
After lunch, we return to Kutaisi to stroll through the charming Old Town, with its colourful streets, local markets, and scenic riverside views. You'll have some time to take photos, shop for souvenirs, or simply enjoy the atmosphere.
We return to Tbilisi in the evening, with memories of Georgia’s history, culture, and heartwarming hospitality.
