Today it is covered with colourful ribbons and messages wishing for peace and reunification. The 3rd Infiltration Tunnel, discovered in 1978, is a secret tunnel dug by North Korea beneath the DMZ. Visitors can walk down into the tunnel and learn about the tense history between North and South Korea. Dora Observatory is one of the best places to view North Korea from South Korea. From the observatory, visitors can see North Korean villages, farmland, and even the Kaesong Industrial Complex on a clear day.
